new here

I just picked up a 2007 mini cooper s, i traded my 2012 mustang 5.0 for it. I'm looking to do some mods...nothing too crazy.

its pepper white? stupid name for a color.. with premium package, heated seats, auto climate no lsd :(

Are these cars hyper sensitive to intakes? I was looking at the k&n cause I've had them on many other cars and it was the only intake that worked on my 2009 cobalt ss sedan without messing with the fuel trims too much.

also, I cant find any good info on tuning, I noticed one company used to sell what looked like a cobb tuning device for these, are there any places in NJ that would be able to tune this car? I'm just looking for an intake, downpipe and catback with a tune.

Also, I'm looking at going with a set of 15 inch wheels with ultra sticky tires, will they fit? I'm trying to search, but i'm finding a lot of stanced cars and that isnt my style.

also, what is the best sponser to buy from? some seem really expensive for the same product.

thanks for the replies

if your strictly performance oriented your going to be disappointed coming from a 5.0. but your wallet will love you on the gas money you'll be saving

The cobb tuning device it's the best bang for you buck you'll get. you can scan your own codes and choose what tune you want when you want.

Not a sponsor on nam, but LTMW is huge on e90post. They can order you up anything you need. Always got me the best deals hands down.

just looking for a little extra pep...I'm not trying to make an over powered fwd car cause that is how my cobalt ss was...it had no traction under 70 or 60mph and I dont like to speed. i'm just trying to get a little extra. I mainly want to auto x this car.

The first mod you should do if interested autox is the rear sway bar. Then powerflex LCA bushing and front sway bar bushing and so on with the rest of the suspension. Just my opinion.

A very good friend since my BMW E92 335i days. Amazing guys. I helped several local members here get their valves cleaned and can attest to their workmanship and friendliness. Give them a call if you need anything and just throw my name (John) out there and they can help you out.

Skip the intake. Spend that on a tune from RMW which you would need with the down pipe. Or an intercooler. I like my Helix. Howerton water meth is also great.

A suspension guy I know highly recommends camber adjustment for the front way way in front of a rear sway bar.
