R56 Removing tail lights?
On my 08 they just popped off with a little leverage. I used a butter knife wrapped in a microfiber cloth . Careful, easy does it! Start on too outside corners. Shine a light down in and you will see the fasteners. Where did u get yours? I plastidiped to see how I would like. I do!
Exactly what Rgoodwin said. I used a large flat blade screw driver wrapped in a soft cloth. Just pry it out from between the chrome ring and the car's paint. Not from between the chrome ring and the taillight.
It'll just pop right off and then just pop the new one back on.

*starts sweating*
Oh... oh.... ok....
*reaches for butter knife*

I got the rings in Germany about 2 weeks ago. I was there for business and the black rings aren't here yet because they're not DOT approved I believe. They were cheap, only 20 Euro each.
I'll post pix when i'm done.
thanks Guys

I am going to go ahead and go with the black out crowd and get the headlight and tail light rings for my MINI. I think with the black grille surround and the carbon fiber hood scoop it will look awesome.
