warning indicator help

I just bought my first mini and I bought it used. There is a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle of it between odometer and trip odometer. Any thoughts on what it is indicates. I can not find it in the owners manual anywhere.

In a nutshell it means your OBC has stored a Code, in order to properly diagnose what that Code is you will need to do one of two things:

1) Find someone who has or purchase an OBD II Code Scanner.

2) Go to your local Dealer and have them read the code and advise you what your options are.

By repeatedly pushing the button at the end of the left staulk, it will cycle through computer choices. By holding the button in at the proper choice you can then go through possible sources for the triangle. It may be for scheduled maintenance, oil, tire pressure etc. It doesn't have to be as complicated as a code. It may be something simple, even blown bulb etc.

If it is something more complicated a local shop can read the code. The code can be googled for the definition.

Thanks for the help

It was the warning light telling me there was an issue. It is a blown blinker bulb.

Thanks everyone
