Yet another new owner...

Hi all, I recently bought a 2011 MCS 6spd and had a couple questions about the maintenance program. The car started its life in Sept. 2010, so that means Sept 2013 the maint program is done.

Car currently has 14k miles. From what I understand is I can do my own oil changes as long as I have the receipts(in case of warranty issue) but what about maintenance items like wear items- brakes? Can I have my brakes done at a competent shop with proof of oem parts being replaced? Reason I ask is because I do NOT want to void my warranty because of some maintenance program snafu. This is a CPO from a mini dealer, so additional 2yr/50k as well....

If it's covered under warranty - why pay for it?

Wear items are not covered under the 36,000 mile scheduled maintenance unless the wear is proven to be excessive under normal use. Have the dealer perform your maintenance until the warranty expires. You can then do whatever you feel.

Ok thx. Essentially thats what I meant. do I have to have them do the scheduled maintenance(after maint program is over) in order for my warranty to valid? I will be bringing it to them while the car is under the maintenance program.
