Hey, long time dreamer, first time owner... Picked up an 08 S last night and love it as far as a car is concerned but it needs some tweaks to make me more happy. The giant speedo while mini-esque is rather pointless so I want to add navi in its place to give it a bit more function.
If I buy an OEM unit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-2013-MINI-COOPER-R55-R56-R57-NAVIGATION-SYSTEM-DISPLAY-INSTRUMENT-CLUSTER-OEM-/261771403999?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2008%7CModel%3ACooper%7CSubmodel%3AClubman&hash=item3cf2caa2df&vxp=mtr is it swap and done? plug and play? Seems too easy.
Has anyone tried one of the Chinese units?(I had a very similar Chinese / oem knockoff unit in my mazda, i know their limitations but i like keeping the oem look.) http://www.motoringfile.com/2014/04/...k-interesting/ How is the fitment / compatibility?
