It is normal for a Mini to sputter after not driving it for 2 days. Started the car up, sounded like a sick puppy- sputtering. What the heck…it is a cool 48 degrees in the SF Bay Area. Now I have the check engine light on the steering pod and on the big pod lit up. I had just taken my car in last week to East Bay Mini to have a walnut shell job manifold service done to it with every code listed. Back to dealer one more time.


What is up the Mini does not like the cold…my next door neighbor said I should have kept the Lexus is300. Chevron premium gas, I just hit 30K on the odometer. Stock motor...no additions

 

Hmmmmm, which of these things are not like the other? (Sesame Street reference). What is different? Cold? I'm sure it's been cold there before. Two days? I'm sure you've done that before..... Unless I read this wrong, I would seriously go back to the dealer.

I have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow morning. This will be the second time to the dealer on this issue. Last time they did a carbon blowout....I barely made it out of girlfriend's house who lives in the Oakland Hills. I was afraid I was going to stall it going up and out.
