Help Please! Tachometer warning lamp

Hello,
I am new to my MINI and have noticed a small triangle with an exclamation point in the lower right of the tachometer next to a set of numbers. Would someone please tell me what this means? Is it serious? Please see the photo.

Thanks in advance!

I THINK that it means that you need service in about 68 miles, but your display is different than mine. Someone else will come on who knows better. Have you had an oil change yet?

Hi!

Thanks for your reply Joanie, but the numbers next to the exclamation point slowly increase while driving. So I don't think it's what you mentioned about servicing.

Anyone else? Does this have to do with resetting anything perhaps?

Thanks!

ok ok, I think it's telling me that there is some kinda error that has been logged and I need to look it up in MINI's memory??
Is this correct?

Also what are the numbers about? I think it may be the mileage since the error?

Thank you!

*Sigh* Stay with me here and I will edemicate you on the inner workings of your MINI.
1. Place key into slot.
2. Press the start button(you don't need to start the car but, just turn on the ignition)
3. Push the button on the left stalk that says OBC
4. Look for selection that says "check info"

That will tell you what that warning is. Then we can go from there.

The numbers going up are from the Trip Counter. You can press the little reset button just to the right to reset that at any time. As far as the warning indicator, can't tell what it is warning you about. Do as Porthos states in the post above and you should be able to find out.

WOW All this help is great!

Btwn here and the manual I am learning!

Thank you Finner.

Porthos, yes please edemicate me...
I followed your instructions and got the emblem in the pic. It shows up also when I start the car. It stays for a few seconds and then is gone.

In the check info section, it's the only the thing there, so I assume must be the only issue.

Under check service, I don't need anything for quite some time.

So apparently I need to check the tire pressure? and then reset if it's ok?

Thank you! Much appreciated!

As others have mentioned the numbers are the trip meter
The exclamation point is a warning, usually something minor. It will come on when your gas light comes on, or a few other things
That symbol is the tire pressure monitoring symbol, if it is low it will also trigger that little exclamation point. Check you're tire pressure, if its low fill it up

Also if it is low and you fill it up, reset the system and both the tire symbol and exclamation point should go away

I had the tire warning Christmas due to a rapid decrease in temps. Took it in and they serviced the tires.

Feeling dumb ... how do you "reset the system"?
