Just a question for Justas

If you get 16" wheels they come with run flats, I know. But then do you still get a Justa spare tire?

I was told no for 2012, but I guess Btwyx purchase proves that wrong.

I did get a cheater spare with my 15" non-runflats.

PS: Sold the 15"s as brand new take-offs and picked up some R113 17" replica's and Conti DWS's for $500 over what I got for the OEM stockers. Happy camper with my non-runflat 17"s!

I have 17" run flats and spare on my 4/12 build coupe. My neighbor has a 5/12 roadster, no spare.

I wouldn't know about 2012, our Justa is an 07.

At the very least the Justa should come with the place to put the spare which could be filled in later.

On my R56 the spare is under the rear. You crank it down from inside the hatch - kinda like a pickup truck. The "S" doesn't have a spare since the exhaust goes thru that area. (at least that's my understanding of why)

No Answer

So we really don't have an answer yet. This is a good question as I just ordered my car in July.

I have some 17's already (no tires yet) and wonder what happens if you don't use the TPMS sensors. Do you just have a warning light the whole time?

It would be great If I had a spare then I wouldn't worry about it.

Just looked on MINIUSA, on the full feature list it shows space saver wheel and tire is a standard feature on a non-S Hatchback with the footnote: "Not included on models with runflat tires."

A friend of mine just picked up his 13 Justa, and when I looked at it, the spare was there. He also has the 16" runflats on his. So as far as I can tell, with a Justa you will get a spare, no matter what wheel/tire combo you get.

Yes... happens every time I use my track wheels. It doesn't continually DING at you or anything, though... only when you start the car.

This is an interesting topic. It seems there are some people who did NOT get a spare with their Coopers when equipped with factory runflats, and MINI specifically says they don't supply one, but there are also plenty of people who have factory runflats AND a spare tire... myself, for instance.

'08 Cooper (non-S), bought new, came with 16" wheels w/Conti runflats - no spare.

Puzzlingly, it did come with a jack and the wheel-changing tools, but no spare wheel to put on in place of the removed wheel.

All our MINIs (Justa or S) have come with a jack and tools, whether had a spare or not. The 05 was awkward as it lay on the floor of the boot in a little cover which clipped into the cargo tie downs. I left that at home. The rest had the jack under the boot floor.

Noreen, spare in my coupe is in the same place, up under the rear bumper.

That is consistent with the information I have on my recently acquired 2003 MINI, base model. It came with the Sport Package, which included "[368] 16" 5-Star Style Alloy Wheels" with run-flats.
When I requested the build information on my MINI, it shows all the options it came with, including [0300] Space-saver tire.
I conclude the spare was an optional, extra item, at least on the Sport Package. Perhaps the spare was normally included if the run-flats were bought separately from the Sport Package.
