Does anyone know if it is possible to pull those off without taking the whole trim pieces off? I am wanting to paint them a piano black (from the stock silver) but want to remove them without undoing the whole dash.


Any ideas?

 

Unfortunately I don't think you can pop the rings off of Gen2s. For instance, to add an aftermarket chromeline you have to buy the complete vent cover/speedo cover to get the chrome rings.

 

It'd probably just be easier to be very careful and tape off what you didn't want painted. Otherwise, what Kirby said is unfortunately true.

 

Another thought - it might easier/less messy to vinyl wrap them rather than paint them.
