Door pull help

My door pull will no longer stay on . As you can see from the pics (red circles are broken clips), there are good reasons why.

I need suggestions as to how it might be secured. I bought some rivets with a plain black head about 1/2" in diameter, but just can't bring myself to drill holes through the pull. Now I'm thinking of trying to glue it on with something like Liquid Nails. Help!

Velco can work. I've seen them glued on, but you can't get to the screws later if you need to.

Thanks, Way. I like that idea. I'll just need to shim out the inside of the pull to the level of the ribs. I had very good luck using velcro to attach foot pegs to the inside of a canoe I didn't want to drill holes in. You are the man!
