Rear view mirror

Is there any way to put a smaller rear view mirror on a 2012 Hardtop? I am tall and it is right smack dab in my field of view. I find myself having to duck down a little to look under it. I see it's mounted to the roof, not glued to the windshield like most other cars.

Thanks!

Stupid question, but have you tried to lower your seat all the way down?

Some people may frown on this but I removed mine. My previous vehicles rear view mirror fell off and I never put it back on. Thus I adjusted my side mirrors to see behind and beside me. I am so used to driving without one that they are all in my way. If I need to back up I turn and look behind me. I honestly feel its more safe than looking in a mirror.

Just my .02

Yea, my seat is all the way down. I love the car, just kinda annoying to have to look under the mirror.

I thought of that too, but you might get a ticket if you don't have it.

You could easily buy a universal glass mount rear view mirror and be done with the OEM one. Hardest thing will be removing the original and finding a way to remove the brackets.

Very true, but only really a worry on a state to state basis.

Think u could get a smaller one. I believe the attachment on the window are standard, but I could be wrong.

You are. The R56 rear view mirrors are not mounted to the windshield.
