Brake Warning Light Resetting Problem

Hey guys,

Did front brakes on my 2010 Clubman and replaced the sensor but I can't seem to get the light to reset.

I have tried both the 1 button and two button procedures and neither will work.

When I try the single button / trip button method nothing ever happens.

Door is shut, foot off pedals etc.

Thanks for any help!

Wonder if it's anything like resetting the TPMS light. Have to reset it and then drive about a 1/2 mile to a mile for it to actually reset?

This should do you: Get in the car, close the doors, insert key, turn the car on (but do not start the car). On the RPM guage, press and hold the 0,0 button/stick for 10 seconds. This will kick it into service mode. Use the B/C button (the one to access menu items normally) to scroll through the list till you see the front of the car and a mileage number. Press and hold the B/C button for a few seconds for it to pull up the "reset >>" and then again to reset it. It will reset the number to (in the MCS 36k or 37k -- not sure of the Clubman).

Buy the Bently manual, invaluable if you do work yourself.
