Should there be jack blocks?

I rotated my tires today. The previous '03 MCS jack appears to be the same as this one. The '03 had square plastic jack points mounted underneath, this '07 does not. I was always losing those on the '03, was wondering if the '07s did not come with blocks? I see what looks like a place to insert them. Anyway, without such blocks, the swiveling support cradle on the jack does not work on the rail underneath! I ended up placing a scrap piece of 2x4 lumber on the jack cradle.

Questions:
Am I missing the plastic blocks?
Is there an aftermarket block that is superior?

I should just get a floor jack for home/track use, but for roadside emergency..........

Most of the 2007 cars didn't come with jacks, so maybe there's no defined jack points either? Is that photo on Gurley Street? I'm in Prescott too.
EDIT: I see from flickr it's Jerome.

Obviously, the 2007 R56 isn't any different structurally than the 2008 and beyond R56's, so whether or not they came with jack blocks, surely they can be added. My 2011 has them and they are very helpful when rotating tires or any other task that requires jacking the car up.

My 2007 was used when I bought it, and it had a set. That being said, I'm not sure who installed them, or if they were OE. I've seen on the site before that people knock them off during autocross events (cones are evil).

Way has a short set that fits all Minis for $95 w/o shipping. I've never used them, but I'm sure he has.

Thanks for verifying that.

I don't know if Trigger has autocrossed, but snow/ice could be the same effect. Thanks for the link.

And thanks to everyone for responding so quickly!

My 07 only had 2 of the 4 when I bought him. I bought the $95 set from Way also. They have been on for 8 months now and not a problem with popping off because they are held in with a toggle. My car is also lowered and have not hit anything with them.

Hmmmmmm

my early 2002-S did not come with a jack - or a pull emergency for the boot lid - but it DID have the jack blocks

My early 2007-S (Aug delivery) has jack blocks and a jack . . .

Wanted to thank you for the lead to these aluminum jack blocks.

They were very easy to install, even for me. I added LocTite. Here is a marginal picture of one doing it's job.

The best I can tell you is compare my picture to when you hold your jack up there. I'm guessing if the skirt comes down 1 1/2" more, then no.
