I'm very much interested buying a Cooper S but don't have much luck with used R53s in our country. I have not given up the search for a good used R53.
However the R56s has crossed my mind and was wondering if anyone here with a R56 2011 model if such car have issues so far ? Would be great if someone can share what issues they are and how much mileage is already in your car.
The R56 is more common especially the 2007 models but based on what i read, there seems to be a lot of issues that i don't want to get into.
Every now and then there are some used 2011 R56 that props out and i'm tempted to bite the bullet when the opportunity arises.

My 2011 MCS has no issues - 6K trouble free miles

 

9,000 trouble free miles.

 

15k in a MCS for me. No issues and I do drive it pretty hard at times...don't we all?

 

Almost 20k and issue free.

Over 23K miles here with no issues. I purchased my 2011 MCS on 4-23-2011. It's been on two long round trips from Virginia to Texas along with plenty of daily commuting to and from work (50 mile round trips).

It's been a great ride thus far. Next up, Minis on the Dragon 2012!
