R56 Anyone Recognize This Car (Walnut Creek, CA)
Anyone Recognize This Car (Walnut Creek, CA)
Hi, just wondering if anyone recognizes this car and if so anything you can tell me about it. I had my friend run the VIN to see service history. He said that it has been in a few times for different sensor replacements, routine oil changes, and timing chain replacement at 47k miles. I asked the dealer how long it has been there and he said over 100 days. Any insight would be helpful. I am looking at getting this if I can get it for the right price, including an extended warranty of course. I am hesitant though because since selling my other mini, it has been nice not having to visit the dealership for service every other week.

You could perhaps take it to Mini of Concord nearby (although I recommend East Bay Mini for service) and then do a full pre-sale inspection on the car. They will usually print out a vehicle history on it, and often it will include the email of the previous owner. Mine did.
Either way, a presage inspection is always advised.
You can use the $150 or so cost as leverage when negotiating.
Good luck!

I don't think it is the M7 test car. I found that car here:

other than the orange calipers i like it.

IF the VIN numver is correct on the listing it comes up as a Cooper S not as a JCW. So i would hav eto agree that someone has added a bunch of JCW parts on the outisde and inside but what about the engine. COuld be a standard S engine or it could have had a JCW kit added hard to tell as there are no pictures of the engine bay.
