When I say we’re a mini family, I mean...

we are a “mini” family....

With neither of us much taller than our cars, I guess that makes us mini people....lol.

I know what you mean. I’ve always been short... okay, no big deal, it does have it’s disadvantages but whatever, it is what it is.

Last summer I had a Chrysler Prowler for sale. I had this guy (who was 6’+) come look at it. He said he had always wanted a Prowler and finally had the money to buy one.

He sat in the car and he looked like Fred from the Flintstones, his head rose above the windshield. He cussed and said he hated being tall. He’d always hear jokes about “how’s the weather up there”, or when he went to the grocery store, little ol’ ladies would always ask him to reach for something that was up high, it never ended.

Point is, I never thought of that... growing up, I would have liked to have been tall, I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. (ironic part is my father is over 6’)

Guess I’ll be mini till I die....lol.

Yeah I get the "“how’s the weather up there”, or when he went to the grocery store, little ol’ ladies would always ask him to reach for something that was up high, it never ended." stuff. Being 6'-6" and the opposite of skinny I get at least 1-2 comments a week about my size and my MINIs. How do you get in that thing, do you really fit, how may clowns can it hold, what size is it (implying I wear it), etc

It isn't terrible being tall/big but I do envy those folks who can walk into almost any store and find clothes to fit them. I own one of every color and patter form the JCPenny Big and Tall I am a walking billboard for St. Johns Bay. Wearing a tall shirt still isn't usually enough to tuck in. Wearing a size 15-17 shoes isn't simple either, try to rent ice skates, lol.

One of the best things about the MINI, as far as I am concerned, is the immense amount of headroom. I'm just over 6' tall, but I must have a tall torso because I rarely have enough headroom in most cars. There's room to spare in the MINI, so I don't have to slouch at all!

Just wouldn't think that, would you? Glad to hear... I like having tall mini friends... they can help wash the center of my roof when I can't reach.

I always get "how do you reach the peddals" or " can you push the cluch all the way in". If My calculations are right, the smaller=lighter and lighter= faster. Hahaha

I'm almost 6' (5'11") and I weigh just over 300lbs. I was surprised at how easily i fit in the Mini. Being wide as well as slightly tall I figured I would have to sqeeze into it but I am actually pretty comfortable. My co-workers couldn't believe it when I traded a Dodge Charger for a Mini but they were all speechless when they sat behind the wheel. I will say it's a good thing I never travel with 2 other people, because there is no way I could fit anyone in the back seat for more than about 20 minutes lol.
