mini no more

sold the mini and bought a dodge challenger srt8 392. not as much of a drastic change as it seems as we have a jeep gc srt8 and previously had a chrysler 300 srt8. had a hard time getting away from the raw power even if it meant giving up the fantastic handling of the mini. don't miss the front wheel drive.

Congrats on the new purchase! I wouldn't be able to take the hit at the gas pump but other than that sounds like you have quite the rides.

Sorry to see you go, only to welcome you to Challenger ownership. I own one too. Enjoy and see you either on the Z or CT!

That car is a beast, but quite an odd jump from a MINI. Two totally different cars.

Am I right in the new ones only being automatic? Thought I remember reading that, maybe not. Just seems odd.

no - either auto or stick. if i were not retired i would never own a car with such dismal gas mileage but since i only drive a max of 2-3 thousand miles a yr it doesn't really matter to me. will post some pictures in my gallery. will miss the great info for the members on nam.

haha I was looking at buying one last week! in grey with black stripes. Beautiful car but the trans went into fail safe 5 miles in to the test drive with 8 miles on the car. Figured that was my hint so I ordered a 2012 JCW. Baad *** car though. They made leaps and bounds in the materials quality and options on the new SRT Challenger so I don't blame you but with gas the way it is there is no way I could do without my coopsta already having a V12 and R32.
anyways always sucks to looks a Mini owner known personally or not but nice choice on the SRT
