R56 Clutch recommendations?

Another Mini with a clutch problem here. Sir Lewis Hamilton Cooper V joined us with just under 19K on the clock a couple of years ago. Now he has about 33K and needs some TLC. As it came with the limited slip diff, I suspect the PO was an autocrosser or otherwise vigorously enjoyed his or her daily drive . Now its time to pay the piper for the reasonable purchase price. Based on the research I've done here and elsewhere on the web, it seems the OEM flywheel and clutch could be a weak point, so I'm not eager to slap OEM bits back in there. I see some folks are using an OS Giken clutch, but $$$! Anyone have good clutch recommendations or tips regarding an OS Giken clutch or any others? Of course I'll be doing this in my garage -- thats half the fun! Thanks, Rich

I was advised that unless you track your Mini the OEM is the best replacement. I just replaced my clutch with OEM Clutch Kit and Flywheel. It shifts like new again......

AXO, No tracking here, but I'd like my wife to be able to autocross it at some point in the future instead of it just being a commuter car. With stock limited slip diff, I expect that might be a little hard on the clutch driven aggressively. I'll have to look at the price differences between the various options to see where the "ouch" point is. Thanks for the assist!

If you want something reliable go with the OEM or the OS Giken GT. Otherwise you'll be asking to do it twice. We keep both in stock.

OEM is fine for auto-x if driven properly

You could possibly go with the JCW clutch.
