Is the lower valence (lower center spoiler) different between the pre-2010 front bumper fascia versus the post-2010 face-lift on the "S"-model R56's?
From pictures on the net and taking some basic measurements, it 'appears' to be similar, but need clarification. Thanks.

The cut off date for the 2010 pre-face lift is October. Anything manufactured after 10/10 has new front bumper.

 

I know the front bumper designs are different, but are the lower valence trim pieces (textured black plastic) different?

That would be the smartest idea. head over to RealOEM and check the part numbers if they are the same they are the same part if not then they are probably different.

 

I have and there's different part numbers for different profile shapes (like between the R56 / R55 and R58); I'm wanting to know if the mounting is the same.
If so, I'm wanting to swap out the current valence on my R55 to the chinned-valence from the R58.

the only way to know for sure it is to order it and see. but i doubt the contours will match and then it will look off
