R56 2009 MCS Price
I paid $16k for an 08 with 50k (mcs auto, sport/winter/premium). My car was treated like an appliance (curb rash on all wheels, never washed underneath, only dealer maintenance). The only 'lucky' thing was that it was a local car, and had the extended maintenace plan. Still really like it.
I would expect an 09 auto with 30k to be a steal at 17k, private at $18, dealer at 19-21k. The nice thing is that you still have a warranty in case you have timing chain issues or carbon cleaning.
I am in the Buffalo, NY area.

I would say around 20k at a dealer, I got luck and got my '09 over a year ago for 20k at 23k miles on it. My dealer likes to move cars so they often start pretty reasonable, just has a JCW clubman for for 19995, decent options. So look around, deals are to be found if you look.

I recently purchased my 09 MCS manual w/ 9k miles for $18k from a private party (So. Cal). It was the best deal I found in the 3-4 weeks I was looking, with average pricing for a similar car usually being $20k+ (usually dealer, non CPO).
I found that options/upgrades don't affect the price much in the used market, which could be to your advantage/disadvantage depending what you find.
BTW, regarding the warranty, check the date the car was first sold. Depending on this, it could have less than one year of warranty left, or as much as two years plus. I have a couple CarFax reports left if you need one - small donation appreciated.
Good luck.

You can check out Autotempest.com. It's a search engine that searches multiple classifieds (including Autotrader, Cars.com, and CL). But, because of the nature of the beast, you're using the same set of search parameters across all classified sites that it searches. So, it may not be as precise as searching each site individually. At the very least, it's useful to see what other classified sites are out there.
