So I have the JCW kit at the shop now getting painted, I can not make up my mind as to how to paint the rear diffuser around the exhaust.

Right now I have them going with flat black, rest of the kit is Astro Black.

Should I have this clear coated so it has a sheen?

What do you guys think?

 

Do you have a white or black roof? Match that. But if you are rolling with an Astroblack MINI flat black is a waste as you won't really be able to tell.

 

The whole car is AB, all chrome I painted trim black, so there is no chrome anywhere, and all panels are AB.

The intent on painting the diffuser black is that it continues the existing black from the plastic that flank it on either side. I wont be painting that AB no matter what as it just looks odd and now the car won't have the bottom trim consistant in color.

 

paint it flat black, but then clear it to give it gloss? Huh?

why not just pain it Astro then?
