R56 Please welcome my second MINI!
Please welcome my second MINI!
I must be nuts about MINIs!
Took ole Swifty to MINI North Scottsdale for a checkup. With 111,857 miles, with me driving, he was rode hard and hung up wet. Almost wept thinking how I was kicking him to the curb.
But when I found out repairs would be more than $4,000 (just the radiator support replacement was $1,400!), and the car's value $6,100 at best, it would have been stupid to continue.
So I took a look at what used MINIs they had (stayed away from the Bentley dealer next door), and took a liking to this '07 MINI JCW with 32,906 miles.

They are extremely professional! Paul Diedrichs is the Motoring Advisor, very cool dude. I splurged with tint and paint protection, which they got done ASAP. I love the architecture too. Don't know if I should admit this, but it's like going to a candy store (I would say something else, but this is a family oriented website).
Glad you told me! It did stand out from all the other MINIs available. You get to drive the Rolls, Astons, Bentleys, Jaguars, Porsches? Nice job....
I've decided on the name Trigger. I better find the thread about names.....
Motored on my favorite road today.

Looks like you are going to have trouble staying home to work for awhile Kurt. Glad you have such a great new MINI. Swifty was well loved. Trigger will be too!
Now all we need is a MINI group in Prescott. I see more and more of them every day, but no club yet. Maybe you should organize one in your spare time. You know the best places to drive.

First step would be to check out our area's car enthusiast website, Tri City Motor News. Trouble is it's focus is old cars like antiques and street rods. I joined the statewide club Arizona Mini Owners a few years ago, but I never did anything with them. There is the Dynamic MiNi Collective in southern AZ, maybe a northern chapter is in order. But I'm not a leader...
One of the first rides once my new MINI is here will be up through Yarnell, Peebles Valley, Prescott, Jerome and Sedona. Can't wait. Been about 4-5 years since I've driven that in a MINI.

I took my neighbor's wife down 89 today. She was blown away!
She was laughing, said it was like a roller coaster.
Let me know via Private Message when you come up! Fresh paving going over to Jerome.
Maybe another car that seems bigger from the inside then the outside.
