Advice on my 2007 MCS

Hello
I have a new to me 2007 MCS. I know nothing about these cars at all. I noticed that it has a K&N typhoon intake that the previous owner had installed. In your opinion is this a good thing for the car or should I have a stock intake re-installed? I have had the car for 2 months and it is a great driving car. It has lots of pep and handles very well on the mountain roads where I live. It sounds nice too.

Seemingly people believe that with an intake located above the engine like the mini, will take in cold air. ive always believed that stock air intakes are better because they dont take in the hot air produced by engines. If you want to keep it in then go ahead. Its really about personaly preference weather to add an intake or not.

IMHO CAIs are for the sound. If you like how the car sounds, keep it. If not, when you need a new filter then refit the OEM airbox and get an aftermarket panel filter.
