Aloha,
I am so excited to join this forum. Coming over from 5series.net as I have just sold my 5 series and just recently bought my first MINI (MCS 2012 midnight black, 17 inch wheels, JCW dash in leather and alcantara). Pretty simple.
I haven't done any mods yet but here is my plan. Clearbra, blacking out the chrome tails, headlights, grill and whatever else is chrome. She has already been tinted. Wish I got the xenons but dealer did not have any available with this package.
Other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I would like to name her Black Okole (love that behind), if no one has that name yet.

Wow she's a beauty.
We also have a Chili Red MCS that has been blacked out. Love my car with no chrome.
Would suggest getting the JCW Grille Surround from Out Motoring and the black out tape.
Good Luck.

I used plasti-dip on my grill surround, head and tail light rings, and gas cap. Two cans of plasti-dip cost less than $20, went on quick and easy, looks perfect and is now a year old and looks the same as when applied. Outmotoring belt line black out kit, inexpensive, easy to install and perfect. Aesthetic Creations black door handle covers, $60, near perfect and 5 seconds each to install. A.E. can be a little slow for delivery. The covers are really nice. on mine I could see in one spot just the tiniest bit of chrome along one edge, so I put about 3/4" of electrician tape on first and then the cover, this was real nit picky. I haven't done anything to the side scuttles yet but I think I may plasti-dip them to see how it looks.
thanks
Thanks, I plan on getting the grille and tape from Outmotoring. Are they pretty easy to install? I read the DIYs and it seems pretty harmless.
p]Plan on getting the door handles. Do you have any pics of them on? Thanks again.
