Went to the dyno today!!! ='[

I finally got to take my MINI to a dyno. First time I have ever been to one in my life! Pretty cool. Sad story though... Dyno broke right before my turn! I am a little disheartened... Over all fun hour long drive there and back even though I went with 4 SRT4's lol. I have 0 MINI friends. SRT4 pulled 450HP and 550lbs of torque. Maybe I should get one. Not lol. I'll be going back in a couple weeks though. Fingers crossed next time.

This is 90% true. And the inside of a srt4 is still a neon. Besides viper seats

Funny my SRT friend from the track claim the inside my MCS is only a base Mini. I guess it cuts both ways.

And that car is quite a bit faster than mine on the track. Better driver helps too.

I would like to see the dyno chart of that SRT4. I love how great the torque is on the R56 stock. Too often people who build motors to brag about HP often see it at an unusable RPM range for a DD.

A friend of mine had and SRT4 with like 450 hp on 100+ octane but you had to rev the crap out of it to get it to go anywhere.

A person that wants a great handling and powerful trackday car that is reliable and cheap to build with huge factory and aftermarket support.

The guy that owns the srt4 also has a Ferrari F430, Ford GT and a 2008 Viper ACR.

Woah woah woah SRT4 handling. You sir, are clearly high. Maybe with some serious suspension tuning it probably handle great but stock no way its like driving a brick on an ice rink. I have driven one and I thought I was going to die the first corner I hit. I was in the market for a sport compact back in 04. At the time the SRT4 was reletivly new and I also had my eye on a Sentra Spec V. I test drove the Spec V first which suprisingly for a 4 door compact as pretty decent handling. Not as good as the MINI but damn close. The next day I drove the SRT4 and it was fast. Way faster then the Spec V but the first corner the body roll and the understeer scared the hell out of me. Hell the salesman was sweating and I didn't hit the turn that fast. I got out of the car and told him it was not for me and went and got the Spec. Spent about $4k less too.

Yeah my buddies SRT4 is only running 93 pump gas. And it's not even maxed out. He wants it as a daily driver still lol. Or else he would run it harder. It's 100% stock internals. But he has a lot of money in everything else. Only a .57 trim turbo on it. Idk what suspension he has but it's decent. Been building it for 6 years. It was his first car at 16 yrs old. His car torque steers and eats the tires alive too much to feel the acceleration on the streets.

Btw I saw him race the other SRT4s on the way home. At a 70 roll he still ate the tires alive all the way up to 140 when he let off. Btw this was down town Dayton in a construction zone lol.

You have some seriously stupid friends. If you were following closely, you might be included in that category too.

Play nice or no dessert...

Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors. Sure I think some of them are terrible, but that's what makes the world go round. Otherwise, they would just have vanilla.

We are looking forward to your dyno numbers and you getting on a track and making your buddy wave you by in the corners.

Haha they won't come to autocross with me lol. They said they will just go off in the ditch because their cars suck lol. Oh well. I'm bringing my STI and Audi TT buddy to autocross sometime soon.

And I'm pretty sure if I'm on my way back to my home town, and they decide to race in front of me, they cant hold that against me. I didn't organize it or was involved in the racing. I'm pretty sure I could talk my way out of it pretty easily.

Gosh I said "pretty" one too many times

+1 street racing is not legal or safe, especially with construction workers' lives at stake.

Oh get the hell off the street racing. We have heard it a freaking million times. That is not what this topic is about. Now if you want to ***** about take it somewhere else. Everyone knows the law about it. Now that I pretty much blew my cool the mods are going to lock it out because you have a problem with it. He did not say he was racing. His friends made the decision not him. And don't give me this crap of "I don't do it". I have been on enough MINI club adventures to know that there are a lot of MINI owners out there that go above the what the law states. If he makes that decision or anyone else does and they get caught well it is on them, is it not? If he kills someone it is on him, is it not? Now kindly take your anti racing ******** and move the **** on because frankly I ****ing tired of reading it every time someone mentions going above the speed limit on a public road.

No its the same every time. Everyone on this damn forum has a holier-than-thou attitude. ***** weak. For the most part everyone on this forum is a legal adult and they know the consequences. We don't need someone coming in and nanny slapping our hands every time a comment is made like that. It probably would have been a one time only comment but next thing you know the e-tards smell it out and swoop in and start bawking their bull crap like they know what is best. Probably best now that this gets locked out so it can't die a quick death and not drag the hell out.

I'm pretty sure the date posted above is on Sunday. Road workers don't work on sunday. And I agree that I don't need my hand slapped or outlook on my friends, I go to the drag strip and autocross. I'm not running around town putting people's lives in danger. You guys need to calm down lol.

And I honestly think it's hard to enjoy turns in a mini if you did the speed limit... That's just my opinion...
