As some of you might know I currently reside in Mexico City. While I thank god that I've been spared from violence and theft I am sad to say I cannot trust my MINI. Today I stopped by starbucks and parked in a private parking lot. After picking up my coffee I tried to start the car but it sputtered, threw the "engine failure" blabble and stalled ... this is an automatic btw. I cannot risk this happening on the street/highway specially at night. I really love the car but with the reliability I've had so far and the horrible state of the pavement I think I might have to look elsewhere I'll keep you updated on what my SA says tomorrow.

If I lived in Mexico City the last thing I'd be driving was a Mini. I'd buy a heavily armored Hummer.

 

The MINI is not my daily driver, I mainly use it for weekend drives, but mostly highway.

 

Okay Guys, I have to ask. How do you get those really Mini Cartoons with names and owners club badges for your signature. I'd really like one...

You are having issues with your 2011 MINI that shouldn't be right :S

 

Got a call from the dealer this morning. They said they scanned the key and could not find anything... I reminded them that the car had a similar problem the FIRST day I got it. Too bad there isn't a lemon law down here.

Didn't have time to update before. The dealer kept my car all week and I'll pick it up tomorrow. I have driven less then 1400 miles and.... HPFP failed... Anyway, they installed a new one, we'll see how it goes
