Also see what I posted on the BMW service bulletin

for this issue on the other linked post quoted below. Key punch lines are the service bulletin says all N14 (turbo) motors in R55's and R56's are affected from start of production through May 4, 2009, and per their parts list and what I see on realOEM.com, it doesn't seem like the parts numbers have been superseded by newer revisions. There is a different tensioner number that seems to be used where there is some wear but other cam chain related parts are not being replaced.
