R56 Whatzit?
If you've never pulled the rear seat of your R56, try and figure out what this cable is hiding underneath it. Don't bother looking in the owner's manual. I know
now and for a small fee I'll let you know, LOL.

i don't remember the exact week but they stopped putting those in late '08 or thereabouts

Yup its the rear hatch manual release. They started putting them in sometime in 04.

I know other bigger cars have it with a glow in the dark handle incase someone gets locked in the trunk/boot.

Rear hatch or gas cap release? I’m going with the rear hatch cause the gas cap is on the other side.
