Ah, I didn't catch that you were changing rim sizes!

Yes, you can switch the TPMS sensors from your old rims over to your new rims.

I've read here that some people have put all four TPMS sensors in a donut spare in their trunk, that way you'd have a spare and the TPMS warning light won't be on all the time. You'd just have to remember to check your tire pressure regularly, just like you have to on almost every other car!

What you can do if you are not keeping the 16" wheels for dedicated winter use - is have the tire sensors swapped over to your wheels. They are integral with the valve stem.

Or buy new sensors.......

I dont really like the look of the rotas they are to stock looking for me but i am picking up a red interior lighting kit from mach v soon after i get my mini.

Romile: now that im a member of that forum all the pics oyu posted up here are showing now holy crap tthose are nice rims. im thinking about getting them and then painting them black and putting a red pinstripe along the outside but i would be getting those just for the rims which would end up being 100 more than the ones i link so im thinking the ones i link are my best option right now.
EVERYONE: has anyone sold their oem rims here if so how much did you get for them im just wonder what should i have the starting price be for the set with the rfs on it?

I paid $250 for take-offs from Craigs List - just the wheels. They never want to sell them with the TPM sensors, even if the tires are still on them. $500 with tires (no TPM sensors) is a typical price for new take-offs.

Funny the MINI sensors go for $200/$300 a set, when for $100 a set my GM truck sensors even tell you the PSI of each tire any time you want to push a button on the dash.

Yes, new take-offs. Search Craigs List in your locality and see what they are asking. Of course they can ask more all day long, doesn't mean peeps will pay it for common OEM wheels and run-flat Fred Flintstone tires.

Seen this yet - makes searching Craigs List across mutiple cities easy.....

We paid $100 for our spare set... rubber was on them, but it was crap. No TPMS. They were white and dinged up a bit, white is hard to maintain. We didn't care though, since they were spares. Although the $250 he mentioned is more common.
