Smallest armrest?

I just brought home my new mini today and the armrest (euro style I think?) is really making the shifting rough. Its so big that I feel as if I have to reach down to get to the shifter. It's better when the armrest is folded up but it still doesn't go completely out of the way. I know it's easy to take it out but I still want somewhat of an armrest. Are there any really small armrests out there? I have looked around and can't find anything I like.

the ebay one might be just a touch smaller (or at least shorter)

I can say that if it were any shorter my elbow wouldnt even be able to rest on it lol

its still going to get in the way of shifting compared to non though

yeah it may be. my ebrake comes up to about the same point, but it has more of a bottom area.

I thought you were looking for something shorter in the front to back direction at first lol

Well...you guys have just convinced me I don't want an armrest, which I was thinking about getting.

I took out the armrest today. It was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be, had to unscrew two torx screws from each seat (the one's in the back of the rails) and use a screw driver to pry up the rails. There is something holding the brackets in place other than the screws so they won't just slide out. You must lift the rails up pretty high.
Anyway, it makes a world of difference without the armrest there, shifting is much more enjoyable. My elbow keeps looking for a place to go though. I will get used to it.
