R56 Yellow Warning Triangle - What Does It Mean?
cross posting - Wondering if this is normal or if there is an issue. When I start the Cooper for about 5 seconds an exclamation point is seen between the odometer and trip odometer on the tach as noted in the OP. Then it goes out. No other lights or issues. When in the CC-ID menu it shows CC-ID 000 which I am assuming means no issues. No codes are stored either per my ultra gauge

As for the OP's saying all the lights are good may be correct but the light check function does not it that way. Reasons for this could be that LED's wer installed and the computer does not recognize the LED as a Bulb and shows a bulb out warning light. This is because the resistance of the LED bulb and a standard bulb are different.
So to the OP check all your bulbs to see if one or more exterior light may be a LED version. If so there is a way to change that but it take some expensive test equipment and programing knowledge to do so.

I just changed my tail lights to LED... what do I need to do to get the Triangle Warning to go away?
Light bulb burned out
If you continue to get the triangle with what looks like a light bulb inside, check the two bulbs that illuminate the license plate on the rear. I couldn't find a burned-out bulb until I realized there are two bulbs there . . . one was burned out.
I just went thru this - when I replaced license plate bulb, I had to bend terminal a little, so it had good tension.
Tip - Put some doubled up masking tape at the end of a flat stick & use that to get the bulb in place. I couldn't do it with my fingers.
I bet there is a $20 tool they sell just for this.
