I have a convertible now, but when I had my '05 MCS I used a Saris Bones. Cheap, no drilling, and you can switch it to another car or take it off when your not using it.

Depends on what you want to do and how often and how far you transport bikes. If it is a lot and far a roof system (yak, thule, mini factory) is the only way to go.

Most of the ones that strap on the back or the MINI-fini one that bolts through the bumper make the trunk inoperable until you remove the rack and or bikes. On a small car like a MINI not being able to open the trunk can be a real pain to get to other gear.

I suggest you think through how you will use the rack, and how it limits you and then decide on style to get.

Well I have a roadie and a bmx, the main reason I need it is because I'm moving so I think I'm going to go with a Yakima. I like there warranty they offer.

I love the stability of my OEM roof rack. I haven't tried the bike rack attachment yet but all the other OEM items for the Mini are top notch.
