R56 Cigarette lighter flashlight or other gadget?

I've only ever used my 12V socket to charge my iPod. I'm one of the lucky crowd (NOT) with an older iPod that won't charge correctly with the OEM MINI iPod cable, so I compromise by plugging the charger into the iPod's port and using the 1/8" mini stereo for sound. Not optimum, to be sure, but at least my iPod doesn't go flat in no time while on road trips.
Oh, I did use the rear 12V socket to charge my cell phone once.
That said, I like the flashlight idea!

I just picked up a 2012 MCS. I also just picked up an OEM LED Flashlight. It wouldn't function in the front 12V port. There is a white plastic ring in the bottom of the front port on my MINI that looks like it is for centering a 12V adapter. That little white plastic ring was preventing the flat bottom of the LED Flashlight to connect to the element. The 12V port in my boot worked fine because it is just the flat metal contact at the bottom, with no plastic centering ring. So, using some vinyl interior tools I swapped the rear port for the front port and now the LED light seems to be working like a charm. Just an FYI for those who may think it is a fuse and go on the dreaded fuse/snipe hunt.

Where did you get yours?
Recieved the little flashlight gadget. It is actually pretty cool and what I was looking for. A lot smaller than I thought it was going to be, which is good. You can have it off, or with a red led light when your ignition is on, or turn it on for another interior light. Plus it pulls out and works like a regular flashlight. Pretty handy little gizmo. The only thing I would change about it is I wish the ambient lighting mode was blue instead of red.
