First 1000 miles.

So. I picked up Zooey about 3 weeks ago and have been driving her as often as possible and within the recommended break-in limits.

Here are a couple thing's I've noticed! (and also an FYI for future r56s buyers)

1. The engine is loud. Louder as the engine has been broken in. Like wtf its a bmw i thought! Sounds like a freaking beast.

2. I'm pretty sure I'm getting a rattle or two already. One is overhead, and one is coming from the cup-holder area. (Yes i plan on ditching the runflats asap).

3. Sport mode is very addicting.

I really like the rorty engine note, myself. If I'm not in the mood for the stereo, the engine fills in nicely! Hearing it growl up through the gears and the turbo whistle on the overrun is just cool.

And yes, Sport Mode is not only addictive, it's mandatory.

I've had mine for 26 days, and about 1000 miles. There are a few TINY rattles here and there but I was expecting it. It's way faster than I thought it was going to be though. Totally worth it.

Agreed! I'm another satisfied customer... I've had my MCS since December 21 of last year, so we're coming up on our first year together, and I've had no problems whatsoever. The only issue has been that my daily commute is too short for proper motoring, so I take any chance I can to get the car out on the open road... rural twisties preferred!

Just passed 600 miles on my 2011 MCS today. I have a buzz coming from the driver side door (possibly speaker related). I am taking her down on saturday for a check up. Other than that, this week and a half has been pure bliss. I love the gas mileage I get and the power when I need it!!

I have never had so much fun just cruising at the speed limit before!

Cheers!

Ryan

You will not believe the difference - do the tire change ASAP - See my sig for the Michelin's we picked.........

Just stopped into Discount tire for the first addition of nitrogen in the tires since we bought the tires from them. They have a stall just dedicated to free air pressure checks, you just pull right in. They set the digital tire station (33psi per OEM for our size tires) - hook it to your valve stem - you can see the before and after psi from your driver's seat on a nice large display - as it automatically fills and shuts off at the specified psi.

5500 miles and still sweet

I hit the 5500 mile mark and everything is still great! And the engine revving in sport mode is my favorite. Sounds so cool! Almost makes up for the fact that I was not able to locate the same car in manual transmission . . .
