For my 09' Vert my first song was "I Don't Know What It Is" by Scott McKenna.

Opening lines:
I'm driving seventy-five
top down, windows open,
and I'm ready to fly by

My Karmann Ghia didn't really have a first song, but it's usual song, and certainly the song it died listening to, was Bossa Per Due, by Nicola Conte . Our first MINI, a PW/W R56, was in the same color and was the spiritual successor to the Ghia. First track? Everything in it's Right Place, by Radiohead. The new Clubman S, when it arrives, same colors again, will have it's own first: Postcards from Italy, by Beirut.

I have my MP3 player loaded and ready for "Kickstart My Heart" from Motley Crue - rock-on 80's metal heads!

Not my first song in my MINI but I do like "Pheonix 1901" and had to get it when I first heard that Cady commercial last year. But the song that always gets in my head when I think about motoring in the MINI is Madness "One Step Beyond!". It's a fun song to drive to, everyone should try it.

Oh, that's a good one!

Listened to songs off an SD card in my pre-MINI car radio. Handt used CDs in quite awhile and didnt have the AUX line in Smurfette when I got her. My guess is the first song was Concrete Blondes "Still in Hollywood" but it could have easily been anything by Social Distortion as those were the CDs I could dig up the easiest (borrowed from Hubby's car). The Crue's Dr Feelgood album also got heavy play until I got an AUX line installed!

i thought I was the only one who planned the first song. I just picked up my red 2011 last week. Bad Blood by Ministry seemed appropriate. Although that song makes it impossible to follow the "break in" rules.

I haven't thought much about it yet, but I am guessing when I pick it up either Sinatra "Fly Me To The Moon" or Sinatra "Summer Wind". What can I say, I am an old school kind of guy.

When I get mine delivered the first song will be : I Wont see you tonight part 1 Avenged Sevenfold. Followed by Master of Puppets at the maximum volume my eardrums can handle.
