What's the first song in your new MINI?

With new 2011s coming out and plenty of people buying a "new to them" MINI, I thought I'd find out what people are planning, or just happen upon, as their first song together with their MINI!

Personally, I'm debating between:
-"1901" Phoenix
-"Let's Go" Cars
-"Right Round" Flo Rida (yesss, shameful, I know)

I have all three, and others, on a playlist dubbed "MINI". I'll probably just pick that first song and then let it go random after that

That's easy:

Sammy Hagar -- "I Can't Drive 55!" (with volume control at "11")

Great question. I'm going to have to dig through some cobwebs....

Meatloaf - Bat out of hell!

I actually have had a playlist ready for a while now. But I'll take some suggestions from this thread

Getta Bloomin' Move On! By Quincy Jones featuring Michael Caine and the boys! It just seems appropriate.

Haha

I prefer the Ocean's 12 sound track. But that's me.

Blackfoot's Highway Song would be perfect. This one goes wayyyyyyyyyy back and may well be before the time of many here.

That's so funny that you asked this question....I often use music to help make memories. It sounds weird, but there's certain times in my life that I instantly flash back to whenever I hear a specific song.
Almost always it brings on a smile :)

"Radar Love" by Golden Earring.

Song #2 was "Turbo Lover" by Judas Priest...

Seriously - Anything by Hendrix. I think it's cool that a few years ago several car manufacturers were running ads with Hendrix tunes.

Hendrix - Voodoo Child

The Beatles I've Got a Feeling--MINI takes the states actually got me thinking of this one when they talked about need to know the lyrics to an apparently different but similarly named song. Another (British) classic would be the Stones doing Start me up. But I'm more of a Beatles kinda guy...

I have to agree... when I was finally LEGAL to drive I bought Moving Pictures on cassette. I wore it completely out along with the second one. I replaced my second worn out cassette with a CD which I still have.

Just kidding. When I picked up Nigel, I cranked up Baba O'Reily by The Who and scooted out of the dealer's lot.....

NJ Mini Sep 30, 2010 06:41 AM

Started with The Ocean by Led Zeppelin, then Suzie Q by CCR. As soon as I hit 1200 miles and past the break-in I turned on Song 2 by Blur and subsequently mashed on the gas pedal with the sport button on and the DTC off.

I hate to admit it but when I was legal enough to drive we were still in the age of 8-tracks!

That's easy, The Beatles "Don't Let me Down"

mininoir Sep 30, 2010 02:59 PM

I played Dirty Vegas' self titled album on my way home from the dealer, so the first song would have been: "I Should Know"
