Wierd...I was on the site building a MCS like I do every other day...lol. And then tried agian 10min later and there was a brand new Mini Configurator up.

It now includes a new Value package now that include Cold weather pack, Aero kit, and Bluetooth prep for $1500. Thats not bad if you were planning on getting those cause its a $750 savings.

And the Convenience package is now better too. It now adds the Comfort Access system, auto dimming mirror, auto headlights/wipers, garage door opener, and comfort bluetooth ( which is already in the Value pack) all for $750, so $500 savings there.

 

WOW. After reading your thread I immediately went on MiniUSA and checked it out. We live in Germany and we ordered my husband a MCS about two weeks ago and this package was showing up in their system but no one knew what it was so now we can go back and get $750 dollars YEAH! Thank you for the heads up....

 

Like the new interface. Don't like that the accessory sport stripes don't show up on the pic. Notice the Black Jack sunroof graphic shows up for $0. Would be tempted to add it to my order and see what happened (if I hadn't already bought mine).

 

Nice, I also like the new interface. I also noticed that you can now add the Factory Aero Kit to the Camden package. Besides the sport stripes not showing up, the roof rack and accessories also don't show up :(

Definitely tring to clear out Factory Aero package inventory, I'd say.

BTW, anybody else have the thing freeze up?

 

It kept freezing periodically on me, then would clear on its own.

New value package is Yankee-biased - don't need the cold weather pack down here - and the factory aero kit is fugly. Too bad they don't need to clear out excess sport suspension inventory - they could add it to the sport package where it belongs anyway.

 

Factory Aero kit is nice, if only because it gets rid of the black plastic everywhere, and replaces it with a nice paint finish.

 

I'm hoping its not just to clear out the 2010s and this will continue on into the 2011s cause I've been waiting to pick up a 2011.

i like the wallpaper feature, compared to the old one where the wallpaper would show the front and back side of the car. this one shows a big picture of the front side of the car. i re-made my car there and now i have it as a wallpaper on my computer. =)

 

Was doing the same thing - exactly how I noticed the sport stripes not showing. The old ones weren't available in very high resolution, either - they're up to speed on modern monitors now (ALTHOUGH - how about a front one and a rear one for folks with dual monitors...?)

Did one w/ JCW kit to get the JCW grille and one w/o and I'm going to Photochop those together and add the sport stripes to have my car.

 

Has anybody else seen the Anthracite Headliner show up as $0 instead of $250? I asked my MA about it because I have a Mini on order with that feature and if they did make it a free option I definitely want to make sure I get the savings, but my MA says that it's $250 and the price is listed correctly, but it's showing up as $0 for me.

 

I for one am NOT liking the new configurator! I've built multiple MINIs, and had my heart set on MB/W, and getting the black web spoke wheels w/the sport package. Now I can only select the web spoke or white bridge spoke wheels. (I think it's cuz I chose the white roof/mirrors).

I really hope that when it comes time to order that the sales guy/girl at the dealership can do something about this...
