mileage lease penalty

Im sure some of you have gone over your lease milage. my lease is foe 15000 a year and it looks like Im gonna be cutting it close. the car is so much fun to drive do you guys know what the typical milage penalty is? Thanks

The only way to know for sure is to look over your lease documents. The terms of the lease will be clearly spelled out there.

My understanding is that you can purchase additional miles if you do it before the end of the lease. That's at a rate of $.16/mile instead of the
$.15/mile charge at the beginning. This is the info I got when my lease started in 10/08.

You should check your original lease documents. But you can always log on to ol.miniusa.com and buy more miles if you need too at a discounted rate. Also keep in mind if you are getting another mini the dealer may/will eat whatever penalties to keep you as a customer for your next mini. (this is what i did)

you can buy miles for .16 a mile during your lease as long as you have atleast 4 payments left. If you wait until you turn the lease in it is .20 a mile.

You can do this on the owners lounge if you have your account registered there or you can call MINI Financial directly.

Nice looking Cooper ! I used to live in BR years ago . Now i live on the Bayou below Houma and not too many Coopers in the Houma area but a few ! So far I am LOVING MY 09 JUST A COOPER ! Are there any cooper clubs in Louisiana that you know of ? Happy Motoring
