Astro Black vs Midnight Black?

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a 2010 MCS in Midnight Black? I ordered one in Sept. and I'm trying to figure out how it's different from Astro Black.

Midnight black is like a pure black color. Astro black is a lot more metallic and can look blueish/purpleish is certain angles and lighting. You can tell the difference easily when they are parked right next to each other.

Although, my midnight black does have a lot of different colours in the metallic paint. It always does *look* black though, especially from a distance.

With a lot of metalic flake in it. Looks more like a really dark navy at night. More black in sunlight.

Yeah, I was pretty upset when my Astro Black came in, and it wasn't actually black (dealer told me it would be). I was expecting a more jetblack-ish color, but the AB has really grown on me.

Speaking of Midnight Black, has anyone found a Midnight Black owners club badge?

Thanks,

My car came with the standard rear spoiler. I contacted Allmag Auto to ask if they had a JCW spoiler in black and they did, so I bought it. When it arrived (this was almost four years ago) I noticed that it was Midnight Black, not Jet Black. When the sun hits it at the right angle, there is a noticeable difference. Under normal circumstances, you can’t tell.
