Stealth MCS

So I found an ad today on craigslist about a Cooper (non-S) grill. I already have the regular Cooper side scuttles that I got on ebay. Anything else cosmetic different on the S. I'm really liking the idea of a MCS disguised as a regular MC.

There's an 'S' badge on the boot and the exhaust exits in the middle of the rear as opposed to the right side on justacooper

I did remember the badge, but I think I'll leave that there. I may even go as far as to take off Cooper and just leave S. Good call on the tailpipes, but Thats a part of the car I really love . I guess it's only stealth from the front.

I feel bad for that unsuspecting MCS you race and makes he/she wonder why you are keeping up.

The MC doesn't have a hood scoop, but my guess is the scoopless hood will fit. I bet you could find someone with a JustACooper who would love to trade.

The MC doesn't come standard with a spoiler. It is an option at build time, but I don't think many JustACoopers have a spoiler.

yeah it'll take a lot to actually fool anyone who knows that there are different versions. Most people just know its a Mini and dont know anything about the Justa-, S, or JCW models

Thats true. I am really torn on MC vs. MCS. The MCS seems more sporty, but its still an 8ft long car and I've been going more of the quirky route as far and style goes (8 Ball Shifter, Cooper Scuttles).

You'd also have to change the rear bumper, exhaust and fuel door. Sounds like too much work to me.

I've now realized this. I'm not going for a perfect stealth. Just making my MINI a little more original and happen to like parts of the MC.

Well if it would cause a power loss I would love an exhaust that exits where the Non S does. And have a 3 or 4 inch exit would look sweet

I would like an exhaust like the Clubman S.

The MC hood won't fit a MCS. The hood on the MCS is taller in the front for the turbo. If you want a scoopless hood on a MCS I'm pretty sure you have to get your hands on a Cooper D hood form over seas. When I have money to just thow around on things like that I'll probably do it but that won't be for awhile.
