Maybe it's just the color selection but it kinda looks like a chopped JCW with a baseball hat on backwards....

OK, two wings. One on the roof, one on the boot.

Ya'll are making fun of me.... I can tell.

I meant modification as if everything was black... I thought Sypderbret hit it right on the money about the baseball hat comment.

Ya know it's pretty much an R56 body with a new roof. Hardly an innovation!

I see it as a track junky's dream....probably not too hard on the budget, a ton of fun to drive, and decent power/weight ratio. If they get the suspension, steering and power right, it will sell. Think budget Elise.

Well with the fact that it supposedly weighs 200lbs less then the standard Hard top it could potentially be a very very fast car

Actually, I'd like to see what you could do with a new roof wing, and having one on the tail as well, might look good--sort of a visual echo effect.

My first thought when seeing the photos in MotoringFile was that it should have a body-color roof to minimize the toupee effect, and visually tie it to the body.

This is a MINI. It is supposed to look like a MINI. What would be the point of making a MINI that didn't look like a MINI. That would be a BMW.

If the body height of the MINI is determined by EU regulation, not much else you could do and not have it become some other car. Also, I think BMW wants to expand the MINI line in as economical way as possible. MF mentioned something about them needing to expand to insure MINI's long-term viability.
