RMW tune gone :-(

So i went to the dealer today to get my oil changed under warranty...and i leave with stock boost. I had asked them to not touch the ecu but i believe they did. I had 16psi now i have 12ish... so sad :-(
What can i do now?

This is the worst news i've heard all week. Hopefully Jan will be generous.

make the dealer pay if you specifically told them not to touch the ecu

First, I would verify with the dealer that they applied an update/flash to your ECU.

Then ask for what reason/problem did they correct....

Not much recourse with the dealer, contact Jan and see when he will be in your area again. He has your tune stored.

Also, the flash/reflash unit should be available soon.

Avoid your dealer.

well they said that they didnt touch the ecu. and on the receipt there are no comments about the ecu also, only the oil change.

thats why we call them stealers, besides money they steal your tune also

i heard that stock the car has 8psi..as of now i have 12ish..could it be a boost leak?

Sounds to me like they knocked/left something loose and your leaking boost. Had a thermostat housing replaced at the stealer and the engine light came on later that day. They said it was the tune, called Jan and he suggested a smoke test, which Sneed's did and they had broken the vacuum line right at the by pass valve. Stealer said there was no way they could have done that, where line was broken was just above the therm housing.... Either way if they did clear your tune I'm sure Jan will help you out.

That's why I waited until the free maintenance portion of my warranty was done before I got the tune. Now, i won't take it to the dealer for a warranty repair unless the repair would cost more than the tune.

Yeah... "Billy Joe Bob's Bootleg MINI Tuning" has a better website - definitely looks like a more legitimate business that that Revolution MINI site - looks like that Jan guy operates out of the trunk of his Buick. Is he an eBay power seller?

True, you can def find vendors out there with much slicker websites, but very, VERY few that can boast the results on and off the track that RMW can!!!
