Should I sell my OEM Tires?

This should probably be in the wheel and tire section but I just wanted a lot of exposure to this question.

I am replacing my OEM runflats on Monday and I was wondering if I should just scrap them or try to sell them? They have less than 10,000 miles on them so still pleanty of life left.

Thoughts?

TIA!!

RFs are expensive, about $250 each for 17". cost to ship is about $50, not bad. Try and sell.

Trying to sell costs you nothing and it could get you some $$$. Tossing them gets you nothing.

Try to sell them locally. No fuss with shipping and no recycling fee if you have one in Nevada.

Good luck. I tried to sell my Dunlop runflats (17") for 350 bucks and couldn't do it. They had like 3K miles on them.

At 350, that's hardly over the price of one tire.

Save them for the track...

Exactly... just to burn them up. The funny part is when I put my 18" OZ's on with Yokohama tires, I felt the Yoko's didn't grip as well as the runflats on the street.

All good points.... I will try locally and see how that goes. If not I will post them here. Unless someone PM's me and wants them...

Try Craigslist too...you never know. I wouldn't recommend them for the track, though.

Definitely post them for sale. Craigslist FTW. Find out what other cars are common for that size and use those keywords.

Did you "upgrade" from 16" or 17" wheels?

Actually, I beg to differ with you. The last two years I've used my stock runflat Dunlops on the track and they worked great. (for a stock tire)

Now, I wouldn't recommend going out and purchasing these tires for the track but if you've got them, I say use them.

Having said that.... if you could sell them and recoup money, absolutely. I didn't try craigslist... might be the way to go. I thought for sure someone on the forum would want next to new stock replacements for cheap....

No, 17's to 18's. I kept my OZ 17's for the track. (they only weight 14.2 pounds)

Hell I would keep them and when you go to trade the car in it might help you with your trade in. Considering the R56 does not come with a spare that might defianetly help. I know when I traded my Spec V in for the MINI the were not to pleased with the fact that it didn't have stock rims and tires and they knocked what they would have given me down.
