2010 MINI Colors/Modifications

I was just wondering if there was any word on any new color additions for the 2010 mini. I am particularly interested in what blue colors will be offered.

Thanks!

Colors for 2010

That's the $1,000,000 question. It's too soon for MINI to let that cat out of the bag. They are still concerned with producing 2009's. My best guess is that the Aug/Sep timeframe will provide your answer.

A crystal ball would be nice. I can order a 2009 now but I'm going to wait a few months and order a 2010. As far as I know I may get burned by a price hike with no significant changes (which I expect) from the current model. I just don't like the idea of ordering so close to the plant slowdown which occurs every August. The only thing I'll get is "hopefully" the satisfaction of having a 2010 prior to January 2010.

Also isn't the 2010 model year the expected "refresh"? I'm interested in changes to the interior and the other teething issues the R56 has had.

Refresh, yes. Probably very minor things. I read somewhere the rear tail lights may be alittle larger. That's one rumored change I don't particularly care to see.

I'm hoping for a few changes to the interior as well. I'd like to see Mini replace the plastic trim ring on the doors with a soft metal alloy when brushed aluminium is selected for the dash. A speedometer more in line with the R53 styling would be nice. I like the smaller size and the way it's recessed/built more into the dash.

Can't wait to see.....

As for 2010 color's I'd like to see more options where you can get the dash and door rings in the same color as the body like the interchange yellow one offered in the convertible.

I doubt it, usually exclusive colors (to a specific model {Hardtop vs Clubman vs Convertible} and trim {Cooper S vs Cooper}) remain exclusive.

I got the IY Yellow with the IY Leather/Cloth interior on my R57, and I hope it's only a MY09 exclusive... It's a unique combination with the interior that matches... Makes my R57 unique I guess.

Great color! Very unique and a real head turner! We saw IY/B Cabrio with the IY/B Interior and Black wheels at the dealer! It was very nice!

Well I placed my deposit mid 2008 model year, becuase I wanted to be first my dealership. I had to wait until January 2009 for Mini to announce the R57 which they did at the Detroit Auto Show, and then the real process started with picking options, getting a production numbers, and watching it get built.

So while I waited almost 1 year from deposit, nothing really happened until January, so it was more like 4 months. A very long time nevertheless, but well worth the wait, let me tell you!

They need to get a true black color. If they bring back Jet Black, I might consider getting a 2nd gen.

I'd like the get a Hot Chocolate/Black MCS and before I order mine I intend to ask if it can be ordered special, although I doubt it. If the 2010 has HC body color I may just wait to order a MINI
