Bike Rack Solution

After much research and frustration I was able to find a cost effective solution to mounting a hatch mounted bike rack. I have an 08 MC and the standard clips that come with the racks doe not fit over the rear spoiler. I was looking to do a roof rack or a hitch mount but both of those options were much more expensive and labor intensive. I purchased a Saris Bones 3 rack and an adapter they call Hatch Huggers http://www.saris.com/p-206-hatch-huggers.aspxers. These things worked great.

Just installed the MINI DO MORE hitch and Thule T2 rack. Carried both beach cruisers to the beach and it worked great! Hate the screw in bolt so that will have to be changed. And when the racks not on, I can pop the little black plastic cover back on and no one knows I have a hitch.

I see that yours in installed on a Justacooper. If you have a Cooper S, with the exhaust pipes in the center, can you still install the MINI DO MORE hitch? Thanks!

They do make a version for the MCS. I have one on mine. The hitch receiver is just behind the bumper above the tail pipes. You have to cut a hole in the black plastic valence in the bumper or you can buy one with the hole precut. They provide a black plastic cap to cover the hole when the hitch is not in use.
