Hello Y'all and here is my new 09 MCS. I am so glad Mini now offers black rims.
I am glad I got the sport package(I test drove without). Ride is very BMW like(firm and settles nice) and body feels surprisingly tight compared to my last car Audi A4(I couldn't wait to get rid of it). Power is pretty good. Very good torque. I test drove bunch of cars before and Mini was the most fun and unique!

here are my PLASTI-Dipped flame spokes! almost as good as factory

 

I like the plastidip rims better!! The nice matte black finish is dope.

 

Repost from when? I am looking for factory-ORDERED BLACK rims. This is a new config starting Jan I think.

 

I will show you mine later this week. My new car will be Horizon Blue / Black Rims / Black bonnet, roof, and mirror caps. Can't wait to see it.

 

konijay, those are some sweet black Crown Spokes, goes very well with the CR/B. It's a shame the 08ers missed out on the option

 

+1 DrewN but we can still spray paint them rims black!

 

I have the factory black bridge spokes, I like them, think they look pretty good with the laser blue/black combo...and they don't show the brake dust as much as the white or silver ones

 

To me, these factory black rims seem to make the paint color pop more.. neat.

 

I came very close to ordering it just like that!... I just didn't want to pay $500 for the paint....I am cheap...

I'm new to the forums, but I saw this pic request for black factory wheels, so I thought I'd share a few pictures.

She is a Horizon Blue Metalllic MCS, black roof, mirrors, wheels sport stripes, 35% tint.

I call her Emma

 

I love my factory rims. (need some new pics)

 

I'm kinda bummed - my dealer told me the crown spokes were matte finish - not glossy - maybe they will look better in person (no, I had no way of seeing them before I ordered and couldn't find pictures on the net )

I think you will like them glossy. They are just shiny enough to let you know that your car has wheels...u know what I mean? I think black mat finish kinda gets lost...but whatever...

But black wheels definitely go very well with black fender trims.

 

Look at it this way, konijay... When you're wheels are covered in brake dust, you will get the 'matte' look you want and no one will know your wheels are dirty

 

Yay! Finally some pictures of Black Crown Spokes! I ordered my R56 S, Graphite/Black with them not knowing if they were glossy or not and was hoping that they were glossy. Matte Black only looks good IMO on wheels that have lots of thin spokes. I will post pictures once my baby gets off the boat.

 

Maybe it will look good after all - I'm just excited to get my car! Mine is Mellow Yellow with matching roof and the black crown spokes.

 

LOVE IT!!!! Can't wait for mine to come in!

How long have you had the rims painted?

I love the fact it offers great protection AND you can easily remove the coating bringing it back to factory spec.
