Guys,

What's the big hole with the cover in the front of the fender liner for then?

I thought that was for a special cooling duct assy.

Those are temporary ducts, for the track only. You wouldn't want to leave those on for street driving....

That's why a few of us have been begging for an inlet duct like Ways, that could be left on all the time, but air directed to the hub, like the Mini Mania set up.

I'm going to go with the TSW BBK with the 1.25 inch rotors, and probably eventually make some home made ducts through the fogs, or just get the Ways.
Yeah I just wanted to post that link (as I hadn't heard anyone mention that product). One thing I don't like is how low to the ground those inlets hang (on the Mini Mania product). Seem like they'd get broken off ...but if they are meant for track only then that wouldn't be an issue ..provided of course that is the only place you drove your car.

Personally I think the best option is what the Mini challenge cars do w/ one exception. I'd probably have the ducts go through the large caps on the inside of our fenders (where the access to the fog lights are). This assumes you remove the fog lights like the challenge cars. In any case this mod isn't my cup of tea. Seems like our brakes are just fine for street use and don't over-heat.

I had NO IDEA that it was that small. How can they advertise it as brake cooling????????????? That is false advertising. There is no way that will cool anything. Once I get it I might do my own little thing with pegasus parts (attach the duct to it and run it next to the brakes.

Just an FYI,

You can order challenge parts from the UK. I really want the curved hood scoop attachment that puts cool air on the turbo!

I think the site is the UK mini accessories site from the factory.

Get in touch with member bluefox280. I bought an identical version from him for about 100 bucks. It was a great piece, I haven’t installed it yet cause I haven’t sent it to get powdercoated yet.

He’s a great seller, excellent product and great prices...

That large hole appears to be for access to the fog lights and city lights.
