I thought the stripes would get "old" after a while, so I went for the "clean" look instead and love it.

LOL, your explanation is exactly why I chose not to have any stripes on my pure silver. I like the somewhat Cooper S sleeper look. However, when I'm about to get cut me off on the road I make good use of my sport button.

That looks good and am wondering where should I go to get an aftermarket stripes?

I've got the more unusual SS/W with white stripes (not a great picture... cell phone):

I know SS/B is the more popular choice, but I personally like SS/W. All the more unique for me!

SS/W works well with your white top.

I think if you go for the black or white roof, you need the stripes, it makes the car look complete, I say go for it.

Thanks! I almost went for a former demo SS/B MC with an automatic, but saw this one on the lot and basically fell head over heels for it. Learned standard transmission just to drive it home :D

@SmokeM
Just a Sony Ericsson W580i, with a 2 megapixel camera. Give it decent enough light and it'll take a decent picture.

I actually bought the Nokia N82 first, which as an awesome 5 megapixel camera, but it's a bit too thick for me (no "that's what she said" jokes, please... ).

Once I get Oliver cleaned up (after finals...) I want to take him out for a proper photo shoot.

I debated a lot over stripes, but finally opted to blackout my chrome and paint the hood scoop for now. I think it looks pretty good as is and adding stripes might be a little too much. The good thing about vinyl stripes, (and painting your chrome with PastiDip), is that it is reversible and you can change the look of your car when ever you feel like it.

You painted your chrome with Plasti Dip? How's it holding up? Was it easy to do? I'm very interested in this.

Very easy to do, and if you mess up you just let it dry, peel it off and spray it again. I used a vinyl tape for the beltline and Plasti Dip for gas cap, grill surrounds, head light and tail light rings, side markers, hood scoop and rear hatch handle. I tried one door handle but did not like the way I masked around the rubber gaskets so I peeled it off and just never got back to doing them yet. Here is a good link to get you started. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...56s-guide.html

I have driven my car over 11,000 miles since I did my chrome in Plasti Dip. No problems at all. Has withstood lots of washings, takes Hydro and Black Wow just like the rest of the trim. Has a rubbery texture so rock hits are less likely to chip than paint.

I love that stripe! Where did you get it, what is it called, and what did it cost? - don't worry I'm not boosting your stripe - I'm too cheap to take off my (free) bonnets

IMHO, these look like 2 completely different cars, the stripes changed it so dramatically, and for the better! Much better.

It's the Shelby Stripe from Aesthetic Creations. I think it was $60...

Thanks. I thought so. I looked at different stripes for almost a year but kept coming back to that one........
