R8 ordered but not here:(

I love the mini and will be getting her back, or a Bluberry (blue mini)

I try to keep a good count also bought my son a crossfire, now a s2000(his 3rd)
Oh my gawd! I guess I get too attached to my cars. In my entire life (several centuries) I have owned four cars, two of which I still own.

1961 VW Bug purchased in 1991 - still own - huge vinyl sunroof
1979 Triumph Spitfire - owned for ten years, loved but fell apart constantly
1984 BMW 325e - purchased in 1988 sold in 2008
2007 MINI Cooper Cabrio - purchased in July 2008

Now I know what "car addict" really means! . The sales taxes on that many purchases would be a killer in Virginia. In the last 10 years I've driven one car. Since I purchase cars so infrequently there is much more thought that goes into the purchase. I don't purchase on a whim because I might be stuck with that decision for ten years. I'd only sell a car after a few years if it turns out to have been a bad purchase.

Not that I wouldn't enjoy having new and different cars more frequently but I'm cheap (CPA by training) and prefer to blow my extra money on vacations. I could buy a Toyota as that would be a smart sensible purchase. Smart and sensible though is also boring. For me the decision is really coming down to an 07 328i versus an 09 MCS. I'm a bit concerned with the "cold-start" issue on the MCS being a potential design flaw that could reduce engine life. It wouldn't be an issue if I was leasing or planned to trade it in after 3 years but it's a major concern for long-term ownership. I think I might wait a few months (I'd also like to see the Horizon blue).

Nice choices (except the Crossfire, I bet that didn't last long ) The fact you've had 2 Minis and are buying back your last one tells me a Crossfire was a dudin your book.
The 325 won't drive/turn like a Mini at all, it weighs a lot more, softer suspension, longer. Bigger back seat and BMW handling in turns are its plusses. One of the best sport sedans of alltime.

I test drove a friend's 09 328i before I bought the Mini. yawn. Not for me. Nice for moms I guess. The 135 was more my speed, but I didn't like the looks. If you need more HP you shoulda got the MCS or JCW

The crossfire is a fast and amazing car the only problem i had is to have it worked on Chrysler had monkey who cant work on it and Benz would not touch it the one i bought for my son whe just sold tons of custom work
