Where Is The Vent?

I just got my 2009 Cooper. It has the standard AC and not the climate control system. I have tried everything and can not figure out how to get outside air to vent into the car. It is cool enough just to keep the vent open, but nothing I have tried lets outside air blow through the dash vents. How is this done?

If the button circled below is not lighted green then you are getting outside air.

If that button is not green, then I set the temp control to the center position and it should be outside air? Do I have to turn the fan on to get the air tyo flow? In my old Mustang I just turned ti to vent with no fan needed.

The fan needs to be on. You will not get any air flow with the fan off.

Thanks, I find the manual a bit brief, but then the car comes from a different country, with different methods. I love it.

I was in my friends Mini today w/o Auto AC and never realized you can't blow air to "face and feet" vents at same time. Kind of strange.

Just to clear this up a little more for you, if you want the outside air to be unaltered (as far as temperature goes), then you need to keep the temp control all the way cold (when the A/C is off). If you put it on the center position, then it will be somewhat heated.

I got it now, thank you very much.
